Next up on the list... THAILAND! This Destination Focus is going to take a look at this beautiful destination and all it has to offer you for your next trip.
Thailand is a popular holiday destination, one of the most popular in the world! And that's with good reason. With powder-soft, sandy beaches, warm, turquoise waters, delicious cuisine, abundant wildlife, verdant jungles, cities that never sleep and an intoxicating culture, you are sure to fall in love with Thailand.
Thailand is rich in history and culture. The affordability, climate, incredible food, work known nightlife, ease of transport, friendly people, the markets, picturesque beaches, diving elephant sancturaries, back packing, and full moon parties are just some of the amazing things available when you visit.
Getting There Focus:
You can fly to Thailand with direct or indirect flights. Direct flights depart from London and are usually offered by Eva Air and Thai Airways. Indirect flights (which include a stop) are usually offered by British Airways, Qatar, and Etihad - and these fly from quite a few airports across the UK.
When booking with me, I will always ensure there is a decent amount of stopover time between flights if they are indirect to ensure you have plenty of time to make it to your next flight. I will also ensure, where possible, that both flights on an indirect route are with the same airline as this can make it easier if there were to be any delays on your first flight for whatever reason.
On average, the flight time is around 12 hours and 20 minutes! You fly into Suvarnabhumi International Airport.
From here, you can get into the city via the airport red line train service, taxi, or the airport bus. If you want to use public transport to get from Bangkok Airport to the city, a convenient option would be the Airport Rail Link. It connects directly from the airport to the city centre and stops at 6 stations before reaching Phaya Thai Station - the total trip taking around 1 hour and 15 minutes.
A taxi to the city centre typically costs around 500 THB (£12).
